I’m Alyona Kosareva,
a passionately curious
Curious about art, music, languages, architecture, nature, fashion, people. For me all this is an endless source to grasp daily inspiration and put it to the canvas. Being fully aesthetic person my eyes unconsciously catching appealing details of this big world.
Color combinations, lines, light – all can wake up my imagination.
For me, art is an ocean of color. The subtle shades and hues, the ability to sink into them without a trace . I believe that paintings are immersive in the emotions that were poured out on them. Just as a single room can have multiple windows, so a single feeling, moment, place, or day can have multiple pictures that reflect it. Are you ready to let in a fresh wind that can turn small waves into the ninth wave?
My eyes react to the beauty of the details around me — the architecture, the Windows dressing with flashy collections of famous brands, the rhyming lines of my favorite poets, color combination of tile pieces under my feet in the morning coffee shop, the sweet smell of apples from my grandmother’s garden.
I absorb inspiration with all my being and I am infinitely grateful that nature has rewarded me with this feature.
Feel the world. So deeply.
The trepidation of my mood is constant in contact
with two techniques: oil and watercolor. I live with them, and they come to life through me, splashing out on paper, canvases, sketchbooks, bookmarks, and everything, on which you can put meaning and a drop of paint.
The endless adventures of the world can be recorded even with a stroke of oil. And no matter whether it’s the thin, barely visible morning light through the frame or the crunch of the ice blanket all is telling the canvas its story, and the oil is supporting me in this sharing.
At the same time I love watercolor for its delicate character. This is one of the materials with which you cant be cunning. It sees through you — all the hues of your mood. Be straight. Be open. Accept whatever it wants to reflect in response.
